How We Select Every Care Manager
Our selection process is deliberately hard. We believe the people caring for your parents deserve the same scrutiny you would give a new family member, because that is effectively what they become.
Rigorous Recruitment
We source candidates through universities, geriatric organisations, and social work networks. Less than 8% of applicants pass our initial screening, which evaluates education, experience, and a values-alignment questionnaire.
Ibha Training Certification
Accepted candidates complete a 6-week intensive programme covering geriatric care protocols, technology platform usage, emergency response, family communication, and empathy-centred care principles.
Careful Placement
We don't just fill a slot. We match each care manager to a family based on language, location, care complexity, and personal fit. Sometimes we wait an extra week to find the right match, and we think that's worth it.
Ongoing Evaluation
Every care manager receives monthly performance reviews based on family feedback, visit quality scores, app compliance, and peer assessments. Continuous coaching and refresher training keep standards high.
The Ibha Standard
Qualifications matter. But so does character. We screen for both, in equal measure.
Advanced Education
We strongly prefer Masters or PhD-level candidates in social work, psychology, gerontology, or nursing. A deep academic foundation in aging matters.
Geriatric Specialisation
All care managers complete Ibha's certified geriatric care training, covering chronic disease management, dementia care, fall prevention, and end-of-life conversations.
Local Language Fluency
Your parent is matched to a care manager who speaks their native language, whether Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, or Hindi. Comfort comes from being understood.
Health Coordination Skills
Care managers are trained to liaise with doctors, interpret medical reports, manage medication schedules, and recognize early warning signs in common age-related conditions.
Socioeconomic Alignment
We carefully match care managers to families by cultural and socioeconomic background. This isn't tokenism, it's what enables real emotional connection and trust.
Professional Verification
Every candidate undergoes thorough background verification, reference checks, and in-person interviews before being considered for placement.
