Care Managers

Meet Our Care Managers

They are the heart of everything Ibha does. Rigorously selected, deeply trained, and genuinely motivated by mission, our care managers aren't just professionals. They're the family member your parent never knew they had.

How We Select Every Care Manager

Our selection process is deliberately hard. We believe the people caring for your parents deserve the same scrutiny you would give a new family member, because that is effectively what they become.

🔍
01

Rigorous Recruitment

We source candidates through universities, geriatric organisations, and social work networks. Less than 8% of applicants pass our initial screening, which evaluates education, experience, and a values-alignment questionnaire.

📚
02

Ibha Training Certification

Accepted candidates complete a 6-week intensive programme covering geriatric care protocols, technology platform usage, emergency response, family communication, and empathy-centred care principles.

🤝
03

Careful Placement

We don't just fill a slot. We match each care manager to a family based on language, location, care complexity, and personal fit. Sometimes we wait an extra week to find the right match, and we think that's worth it.

📊
04

Ongoing Evaluation

Every care manager receives monthly performance reviews based on family feedback, visit quality scores, app compliance, and peer assessments. Continuous coaching and refresher training keep standards high.

What We Look For

The Ibha Standard

Qualifications matter. But so does character. We screen for both, in equal measure.

🎓

Advanced Education

We strongly prefer Masters or PhD-level candidates in social work, psychology, gerontology, or nursing. A deep academic foundation in aging matters.

👴

Geriatric Specialisation

All care managers complete Ibha's certified geriatric care training, covering chronic disease management, dementia care, fall prevention, and end-of-life conversations.

🗣️

Local Language Fluency

Your parent is matched to a care manager who speaks their native language, whether Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, or Hindi. Comfort comes from being understood.

🌡️

Health Coordination Skills

Care managers are trained to liaise with doctors, interpret medical reports, manage medication schedules, and recognize early warning signs in common age-related conditions.

🧩

Socioeconomic Alignment

We carefully match care managers to families by cultural and socioeconomic background. This isn't tokenism, it's what enables real emotional connection and trust.

💼

Professional Verification

Every candidate undergoes thorough background verification, reference checks, and in-person interviews before being considered for placement.

Daily Life

What your care manager does, every single day

A care manager's day is structured around your parent's needs, not a generic checklist. Here's what consistent, excellent daily care looks like in practice.

  • Morning wellness check-in and vital sign logging (blood pressure, oxygen, weight)
  • Medication dispensing and adherence verification
  • Accompaniment to doctor and specialist appointments
  • Coordination with housekeeping, cooks, and domestic staff
  • Daily activity log submitted through the Ibha app
  • Emotional check-in conversations, genuinely listening, not just task-ticking
  • Grocery coordination, pharmacy runs, and errand management
  • Family communication, proactive updates before you have to ask
  • Emergency escalation: knows exactly when to call an ambulance, the doctor, and the family
  • Monthly health summary prepared for family review
💬
“I joined Ibha because I wanted to do something that mattered, not just have a job. Every morning, when Mrs. Pillai opens her door and smiles, I know I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. Her daughter calls from Toronto every evening, and I can hear the relief in her voice knowing her mother is genuinely looked after. That keeps me going.”
